Activity 18.1

My Dance and Nature

Many of our local dances are connected to nature.

For example, you learned a Kannada song in music class, “Aadona banni kanna muchale tugona banni uyyale.” The song describes trees, birds, and the nature. Or you can choose nature-related songs, like Rabindra Sangeet’s “Phule phule dhole dhole…” describing flowers, rivers, and birds.

Put together all the dance steps with gentle and vigorous movements, hand gestures, and facial expressions and dance to the rhythm of the song.
