Find the equation of the line for which

p = 5 and = 1350

Given: p = 5 and = 1350

Here p is the perpendicular that makes an angle with positive direction of x-axis , hence the equation of the straight line is given by:

Formula used:

x cos + y sin =p

x cos 1350 + y sin 1350 =5

i.e; cos 1350 = cos ((4360) -90) = cos((42 )- 90)= cos 90

similarly, sin 1350 = sin ((4360) - 90) = sin((42 ) - 90)= -sin 90

hence, x cos 90 + y (–sin 90) =5

x (0)- y1=5

Hence The required equation of the line is y=-5.
