Very hot and dry and very cold and wet regions of India have low density of population. In this light, explain the role of climate on the distribution of population


Climate plays a big role in the distribution of population. The places where the climate is harsh i.e. very hot, dry especially in deserts and very cold especially in Jammu and Kashmir, and wet regions like Cherrapunji in Assam have very low density population. People like to live in moderate type of climate like in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and these regions have very high density of population.
