In urbanised areas like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra there are various types of jobs present. So people are engaged in various kinds of jobs which increase the overall rate of work participation in that state. But states like Bihar, West Bengal have limited job opportunities and the main occupation is agriculture is declining. As a result the work participation rate is low.
