Pars intermedia secretes only one hormone called melanocyte stimulating hormone (MSH). Anterior pituitary consist of two portions that is pars ditalis and pars intermedia. Pars distalis secretes 6 hormones while pars intermedia secrete only one hormone called Melanocyte stimulating hormone.
