a) Inbreeding is the process of mating more closely related individuals with the same breed for four to six generations to produce pure lines.


b) Yes, continuous inbreeding leads to inbreeding depression. Due to inbreeding depression, the fertility of the organism decreases drastically and the overall productivity goes down as well.
