The Anti-arrack movement was a movement in Andhra Pradesh which was started by women, its main demands were –

• To ban the sale of Arrack- A type of locally brewed alcohol.

• The movement was also aimed against the growing relation between crime and politics in the region.

• Due to being led by women, the movement provided a platform to protest against other private issues like domestic violence.
