What was the main objective of ‘Operation Enduring Freedom’?

Operation Enduring Freedom was the United States’ response against 9/11 attacks whose major objective was to arrest all those persons who were doubted to be the minds behind the attack, majorly Al-Qaeda as well as the Taliban regime within Afghanistan. The United States arrested the people globally often with no knowledge regarding government of the individuals being arrested, their transference and detention in secret prisons.
