Explain the hegemony of US as hard power.
Hegemony as a term refers to an international system which tends to be dominated by a single superpower or hyper-power only. As such, hegemony associates with the patterns, balances and relations of military ability between states. Hegemony of the United States as hard power tends to signify military status of America as both comparative and absolute, wherein within absolute terms, it possesses military ability to reach a point in the world precisely while no other power in today’s time can remotely match theirs. The basis of the United States military dominance is both on a qualitative gap and higher military expenditure, meaning the technological know-how.
