What is SAARC? Mention its objectives.
SAARC which is the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation was incorporated in 1985 as a regional move by the South Asian countries to strengthen their ties on political and economic fronts.
Any three objectives of SAARC are-
i) To accelerate economic growth and cultural development to ensure that all individuals have equal access to opportunity to realize their potentials.
ii) To bring changes on the economic, social and cultural front by promoting active collaboration and mutual assistance across ass fields.
iii) Peace and friendly relations among all the member nations.
