Peace can be enhanced in this region in the following ways-

i) Increased cooperation among the countries of this region especially between India and Pakistan.

ii) Member countries can help each other to establish a free and fair democracy in their respective countries.

iii) Reduce economic influence of China on all member states through diplomacy and dialogue.

iv) Mutual assistance in times of natural disaster.

v) SAFTA to be implemented in a more comprehensive manner that includes the free movement of goods and services across borders.
