What are the different colonial architectural styles which can be seen in Bombay city?

The different colonial architectural styles which can be seen in Bombay city are described below:

1. The buildings constructed during the colonial period in Bombay reflected the culture, power and confidence of the rulers, i.e. the British.


2. The buildings were made in traditional European style. This helped the British in two ways. Firstly, this architectural style in the buildings helped to create a sense of familiar landscape in a new country. Secondly, they felt that this grand architecture would be able to create a sense of awe towards the British by the native Indians and distinguish them with the common Indians.
