The angular magnification of a system is less than one. Does it mean that the image formed is inverted?

If its value is less than one means that the image formed is reduced in the size, which does not means that the image formed will be inverted in nature.

Angular magnification is defined as the ratio of the angle subtended at the eye by the image formed by an optical instrument to that subtended at the eye by the object when not viewed through the instrument.
