In grassland habitat, there are few trees or places for animals to hide. When the enemy attacks an animal, it has to run faster than the predator to reach a safe place. If it fails, it lose its life. In the same way, predator has to run faster to catch its prey. So, speed is important for survival in the grasslands for animals that live there.
