Cinchona trees are found in the areas of rainfall more than 100 cm. The areas having rainfall more than 100 cm are also named as tropical evergreen forests. Some of the commercially important trees of this forest are ebony, mahogany, rosewood, rubber and cinchona. More than 100 cm rainfall is necessary for luxuriant vegetation of all kinds. The trees reach great heights up to 60 metres or even above.
