During her expedition to the Everest, Santosh showed immense concern for her team mates. Though, she was unluckily unsuccessful in saving one of the climbers who lay dying at the South Col., she managed to save another climber, Mohan Singh, who could have met with the same fate had she not shared her oxygen with him timely.
