Construct a quadrilateral ABCD in which AB= 4.2cm, BC= 6cm, CD=5.2cm, DA=5cm and AC= 8 cm.
The given quadrilateral ABCD can be drawn as follows:
Step 1: Draw a line segment AC of 8 cm
Step 2: With A as centre draw an arc of 4.2 cm.
Step 3: With 6 cm as radius cut the arc drawn in step 2 and that point of intersection is B. Join AB and CB.
Step 4: Draw another arc from A with 5 cm radius on opposite side of AC.
Step 5: From C take 5.2 cm as radius and cut the arc drawn in step 4 and the point of intersection is D. Now join AD and CD.
ABCD is the required quadrilateral.
