If p = 3q, then n is divisible by 3
If p = 3q + 1, then n + 2 = 3q + 1 + 2 = 3q + 3 = 3(q + 1) is divisible by 3
If p = 3q + 2, then n + 1 = 3q + 2 + 1 = 3q + 3 = 3(q + 1) is divisible by 3
Thus, we can state that one of the numbers among p, p + 1 and p + 2 is always divisible by 3
