If on division of a polynomial p(x) by a polynomial g(x), the quotient is zero, what is the relation between the degree of p (x) and g(x)?
degree of p(x) is less than degree of g(x).
Given, the quotient = 0
i.e. q(x) = 0
by division algorithm,
p(x) = g(x).q(x) + r(x)
∴ the deg(p(x)) < deg(g(x))
