(a) Object distance = 15cm

Radius of curvature = 20m


F = R/2 = 20/2 = 10m


Using mirror formula for concave lens,


Image distance, v = -30 cm


The image is formed 30 cm in front of converging mirror;


Magnification, m = v/0u = -2


(b) Object distance = 15cm


Radius of curvature = 20m


F = R/2 = 20/2 = 10m


Using mirror formula for convex lens,


Image distance v = + 6 cm


The image is formed 6 cm behind the diverging mirror ;


Magnification, m = v/u =0.4
