2 hectares of ground.

2 hectares = 20000 m³ (∵ 1 hectares = 10000 m³)

∴ Area of land which is filled with rain upto 5cm high is 20000 m³

Let V be the volume of the water on the land.

The volume of the water on the land is: area(of land) × height of the water on the land.

∴ V = Area(of land) × height

⇒ V = 20000 × (∵ 1cm = m )

⇒ V = 1000 m³

∴ The volume of the water that falls on 2 hectares of ground, is: 1000m³
