Since it is given that the distance is to be found from origin so in this question we have to use the distance formula keeping one – point fix i.e. O (0,0), as shown below:
OC = √{(– 4 – 0)2 + (– 6 – 0)2}
= √{(– 4)2 + (– 6)2}
= √{16 + 36}
∴ OC = √52 units
