What are the components of the transport system in highly organized plants?

The components of transport system in highly organized plants are xylem tissue and phloem tissue.

• Xylem tissues are made of xylem vessels which are long hollow chains of dead and tough xylem cells. The xylem tissue conducts water and minerals obtained from the soil, via roots to all parts of a plant.

• Phloem tissue is made of sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem parenchyma cell and phloem fibres. It conducts food made in leaves (containing chlorophyll) to all parts of the plant body
