The present generation will receive a great advantage if the resources are exploited with short term aims because every resource like water, food, electricity will be present in more than sufficient form to be used by the present generation.

But this will lead to a disadvantage for the generations yet to come. Natural resources are limited in nature and they should be used wisely. If all of the resources are exploited at once then there will be no resources left to be used in future and also for the generations yet to come.
