A. Cross-pollination in a hermaphrodite or bisexual flower can be achieved by:

Emasculation: by removing anthers of one of the flowers.


Bagging: The emasculated flower is covered by a bag to prevent contamination of its stigma by unwanted pollen grains. Rebagging: When the stigma of the bagged flower becomes receptive, the pollen grains collected from the other flower are dusted on the stigma and allow the fruit to develop after pollination and fertilization.
