Consider a circular loop of wire lying in the plane of the table. Let the current pass through the loop clockwise. Apply the right hand rule to find out the direction of the magnetic field inside and outside the loop.
A circular loop of wire lying in the plane of the table is shown in Figure given below:
As we can see in the figure, the battery is passing current through the loop of wire in the clockwise direction.
Now, by applying right-hand thumb rule to the left side of circular loop, we find that the direction of magnetic field around it is anticlockwise but the magnetic field is perpendicular to the plane of table. And by applying right-hand thumb rule to the right side of circular loop, we find that the direction of magnetic field around it is clockwise but again, the magnetic field is perpendicular to the plane of table.
