Given:
Length of rectangle, l = 5 cm.
Breadth of rectangle, b = 3 cm.
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (l + b)
= 2 × (6 + 2)
= 2 × 8
= 16 cm
Perimeter of square = 4 × side
16 = 4 × side
Side = 16 / 4
∴ Side of Square = 4 cm.
Area of rectangle = l × b
= 2 × 6
= 12 cm2
Area of square = side2
= 42
= 16 cm2
