“P” is the sheet of some transparent material like thin plastic, ground glass etc. Because only the transparent materials allows light to pass through them without changing the path of light. Since the path of light is not changed therefore we get image on screen. Therefore the “P” is some transparent materials. Figure below shows some of the transparent materials.
