Friction between two surfaces can be minimized by the following ways:–

I. Smoothening both the surfaces which means reducing irregularity.

II. Lubricating the surface by oils or grease.

III. Use Rolling friction rather than Sliding friction.

IV. Reducing the area of contact between the surfaces.

V. Making the body streamlined in fluids.

VI. Make use of less viscous medium or fluid.
