State the rule to determine the direction of a

force experienced by a current carrying straight conductor placed in a magnetic field which is perpendicular to it.

When a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field then the conductor will experience a magnetic force. The direction of magnetic force acting on a current wire placed in a magnetic field is given by Flemings left hands rule.

According to Flemings Left-hand rule:-

If we arrange our left hand's thumb, index finger and middle finger mutually perpendicular to each other.

And then if we put our index finger in the direction of magnetic field applied and middle finger in direction of electric current.

Then the thumb will point in the direction of the magnetic force
