Frogs show external fertilization, i.e. they lay unfertilized eggs in water, which get fertilized outside the body of the organism when a sperm reaches them. These eggs are protected by means of a jelly-like substance that binds these eggs together, and also provides slimy nature to help in floating of eggs.
