Mention how many layers the earth made of.
Earth has four layers: the solid crust on the outside, the mantle and the core — split between the outer core and the inner core. The figure below shows the diagram for the layers of the earth.
1. Crust = It is the thinnest layer of the earth. It is split into several tectonic plates which are in motion relative to each other.
2. Mantel = It is the thickest layer of the earth and it extends down to 2,890 Km.
3. Inner Core = This is solid core and has radius of about 1,220 Km
4. Outer Core = This is the liquid core and extends up to radius of 3,400 Km.
