Where are light-sensitive cells present in abundance and give their function?

The light-sensitive cells are present in abundance in the Retina.

There are two types of photoreceptor cells on the retina:


(i) Rod cells or Rods


Function: rods are responsible for night vision and respond to the intensity of light.


(ii) Cone cells or Cones


Function: cones respond to the colour of objects.
