Name the part of the eye where the image is formed by the eye lens. What is the nature of the image formed? How is this image sent to the brain?

The eye lens converges the light rays to form the image on the retina. The image formed is real and inverted since the eye lens is convex in shape and we know that if the object is kept beyond the focal length the image formed is real and inverted. When the image falls on the retina the light-sensitive cells get activated and generate electrical signals. The retina sends these electrical signals to the brain through the optical nerves and gives rise to the sensation of vision. Although the image formed on the retina is inverted our mind interprets the image as that of an erect object.
