What is weight?
The earth attracts every object towards its centre with a certain force which depends on the mass of the body and the acceleration due to gravity at that place
The weight of the body is the force with which it is attracted towards the centre of the earth.
Force = Mass × Acceleration
Where, Force = Weight = W
Acceleration = Acceleration due to gravity = g
And, Mass = m
Thus, W = m × g
Also, weight is a vector quantity that is it has both magnitude as well as direction.
