Explain why fossil fuels are exhaustible natural resources.

Fossil fuels are formed from dead remains of animals and plants. They are buried deep inside the earth and require millions and millions of years to form. Also, they require high temperature and pressure conditions for their formation. Such high temperature and pressure conditions cannot be produced in the laboratory. Apart from this, human needs of resources are increasing day-to-day. Thus, fossils fuels are very limited and come into the category of exhaustible natural resources.
