It provides protection and suitable living conditions to wild animals.

Biosphere reserves helps in conservation of biodiversity comprising plants, animals, and micro- organisms.

Extinct species are population of those species which become extinct long time ago due to sudden climatic changes.

The animals found in a particular area are termed flora of that area.

Sal, teak, mango, etc. form the flora of Pachmarhi biosphere reserve.
