Border Road Organisation (BRO) which is an organisation working under the Government of India constructs and maintains the roads in the bordering areas of the country. It was established in 1960 for the development of the roads of strategic importance. They had improved accessibility in the difficult terrain areas and helped in the economic development of this area.
