What is the part played by stamens and carpels in sexual reproduction?

“Stamens” and “Carpels” are male and female reproductive parts of a flower respectively. Stamens lead to the formation of pollen grains while carpels include three parts which are stigma style and ovary. During sexual reproduction, it is the process of fusion of male germ cell with the female gametes. It gives rise to zygote. The pollen lands on suitable stigma, it reaches the female ferm cells in ovary.The pollen tube grows out of the pollen grain, travels through the style and finally reaches the ovary.
